The University of Dubai holds first alumni

The University of Dubai held the first annual alumni gathering on June 9th 2007 at J.W. Marriot Hotel.

During the welcoming speech by the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Husni Charif, he welcomed the guests on behalf of the UD President, Dr. Omar Hefni, and declared the official launching of the UD Alumni Association chaired by the UD graduate Mr. Mohamed Shael. He also highlighted the role and objectives of the UD Alumni Association and the benefits they can reap through the active participation in the Association.

The Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Siefelnasr, briefed the audience about the recent accomplishments and future challenges that are facing UD.

Outstanding Alumni members were awarded certificates, gifts, and vouchers for their academic achievements. Various entertainment activities were held including musical performances and folkloric dances.

On behalf of the University of Dubai, Amina Elmarzak, Manager of the Internship and Career Development Center, ceased the opportunity to thank "Al Khasna Insurance" for its valuable support and sponsorship to the event.
