QIB Group's CEOs meet in Doha

QIB Group's CEOs met in Doha to discuss the group's future strategy and cooperation between the finance houses and banks affiliated with the bank.

QIB CEO Mr. Salah Al Jaidah, headed the meeting which was attended by the group's general managers as well as by QINVEST CEO Abdullatif Al Meer, CEO Arab Finance House Fouad Matraji, Asian Finance Bank CEO Faisal Shoueikh, and European Finance House CEO Mike Clark.

The conference discussed the aspects of strengthening relations between the group members particularly in the following:
- The mutual marketing of products and banking services in order to ensure integrated customer service in Qatar and the countries where the affiliates and subsidiaries are located.
- Enhancing products and devising new tools to fulfill the needs of the group's clients
- Identifying the available opportunities at national and international levels
- Cooperating in the field of assessment and analysis of the risks related to the banking operations, financing and investment.
- Cooperating in generating the most effective follow up of the regulatory authorities instructions in the each Group's country of origin.
- Tackling the Group's future strategic vision.

From its part, QIB confirmed its full readiness to put its long experience (25 years) in Islamic banking inland and abroad, at the disposal of the affiliate finance houses.

Mr. Al Jaidah stated that the meeting constitutes a starting point towards the enhancement of relations between the bank and the group members. It comes in the frame of the bank's new orientation and its future strategy, he said.

He emphasized, also, that great signs of success are awaiting the members of the QIB Group due to the support given to the banks' and the group's boards of directors, and the promising opportunities in their respective operational areas in Qatar, Lebanon, Malaysia, and Europe.
In conclusion Mr. Al Jaidah confirmed that QIB is considering the establishment of more such banks in the near future.
