Using a computer and internet connection, employees will be able to access the latest and most up to date English, technical and safety courses. Login names and passwords will be provided to employees enabling them to access their learning material at any time of the day.

Qatargas believes in providing the best available training to its employees and the e-learning program is one of many pioneering initiatives implemented by Qatargas.

The current facility scheduled to start functioning in July can accommodate twenty employees at a time. Courses in English, Technical (Operations and Maintenance), safety and soft skills will be available in the initial phase.

Commenting on the new facility, Ghanim Al-Kuwari, Chief Operating Officer - Administration said; "One of Qatargas' vision elements is the maintenance of a diverse workforce of the highest caliber. The establishment of the e-Learning center underlines Qatargas' commitment to the training and development of its employees, particularly the nationals."

The duration of the courses will vary from a few hours to 'ongoing' and the amount of time spent on a course will depend on the individual's pace of learning.

Qatargas is collaborating with proven educational and training suppliers to ensure that the course materials are of high standards.

Qatari nationals will be offered the opportunity to participate in 'Global English' - an English language course aimed at helping young nationals to raise their English language competency. Employees of all nationalities will be offered Technical and Soft Skills courses. The end result will be a workforce that is ready to face the future with an improved skill set.
