Dubai Knowledge Village (DKV), a TECOM Investments arm, recently organised a workshop for members of the Small Business Incubator (SBI), to help entrepreneurs develop successful business strategies.

The quarterly workshop, held at the Dubai Knowledge Village Conference Centre, attracted 48 companies. It highlighted SBI as a valuable resource for owners of small and medium enterprises.

Dr. Ayoub Kazim, Dubai Knowledge Village and Dubai International Academic City Executive Director, said:

"The SBI workshop seeks to strengthen start up ventures and help them conduct their business more effectively. This is part of our plan to provide a comprehensive programme to help our partners."

SBI provides expert advice and counselling on marketing, sales, IT, human resources (HR) and financial aspects of any business.

Hasan Makansi, Partner Development Manager, Dubai Knowledge Village, said: "The initiative helps emerging entrepreneurs to learn how to implement measures that improve cash flow and gain market knowledge in an informal environment which will help them better manage and expand their operations."

The sessions offered valuable networking opportunities for both established and start-up business owners as well as managers to meet and exchange expertise and industry specific know how.

The workshop was part of Dubai Knowledge Village's objectives to host events that drive the growth of education and training sectors through sharing of knowledge and exchange of ideas.
