Batelco Chairman Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa presented the donation cheque to the president of Bahrain Charity Society Abdulla bin Ali Kanoo in the presence of Batelco GM Corporate Affairs Ahmed Al Janahi and the Society's board members.
'We are pleased to contribute to the commendable role the society plays in supporting the local community,' said Shaikh Hamad.
'Our donation is part of our on-going commitment to the Bahraini community and the active civil establishments that serve all Bahrain residents,'
Abdulla bin Ali Kanoo expressed his appreciation to Batelco chairman and board members for their continuous support for the society.
'Batelco's donation to Bahrain Charity Society shows the company's recognition of the humanitarian responsibility the society assumes,' he explained.
Bahrain Charity Society's Secretary General Ebrahim Hassan Kamal hailed Batelco's annual support for the society and many other charity entities serving the people of Bahrain.
'This helping hand from Batelco encourages us to exert more effort to extend our services to a bigger number of needy families,' said Mr. Kamal.
