Dubai Executive Council holds HR strategy meeting with government departments

The Department of Human Resources at the Dubai Executive Council held a meeting yesterday with the directors of strategic planning in Dubai Government departments to coordinate their HR strategies.

The meeting is in line with the human resources strategy objectives as announced in the Dubai Strategic Plan 2015 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, early this year. The objectives include fulfilling Dubai's vision by providing a strong and highly capable national workforce to contribute to UAE's growth.

Dr. Ahmad Waarie from the General Secretariat at Dubai Executive Council, said: "This meeting provided an opportunity to obtain information from various departments about human resources development to help us prepare an integrated strategic plan. Our goal now is to determine specific areas which need improvement and an appropriate framework to implement the plan."

The Department of Human Resources meeting with government officials was part of Dubai Executive Council's efforts to meet the objectives of Dubai Strategic Plan.
