Euromoney declares BankMuscat 'Best Bank in Oman' for the sixth year running

Euromoney, one of the leading financial magazines worldwide, has declared BankMuscat as the 'Best Bank in Oman' at the Euromoney 2007 Awards for Excellence ceremony held at Abu Dhabi on Wednesday June 13th.
Though not present to receive the award in person, speaking on the occasion AbdulRazak Ali Issa, Chief Executive, BankMuscat said:
"I would like to dedicate this award to our customers and the people of Oman who are currently recovering from the aftermath of Cyclone Gonu. It is their support that has seen us rise from strength to strength. God Willing, we shall definitely continue to provide them with the finest of banking products, services and solutions, even as our beautiful country continues on its path of successful regional and global integration."
Other winners from across the GCC region, include: Qatar National Bank (Best Bank in Qatar), ADCB (Best Bank in the UAE), National Bank of Kuwait (Best Bank in Kuwait) and Ahli United Bank (Best Bank in the Middle East). The Euromoney Awards for Excellence continue to be the most respected global awards for banking excellence are granted on submissions to Euromoney by banks across the region highlighting their performance, asset and revenue quality, customer satisfaction, and IT systems and offerings of the bank.
The international financial and banking community has lauded BankMuscat's performance and pioneering efforts at setting new standards of excellence in the Banking industry for several years now. BankMuscat also holds the rare distinction of being voted the 'Best Bank in Oman' five times in a row by The Banker, FT London, and seven times by Global Finance Inc. The Bank was awarded the People Development Award at Oman Awards for Excellence, in 2003, 2004 and 2005. Earlier this year, the Bank was also awarded the prestigious Investors in People (IiP) certification for its continuous investments in human capital. BankMuscat is the first bank from across the Middle East region to have obtained this prestigious certification.
