The United Arab Shipping Company is installing Iridium satellite terminals on 29 ships, as well as at its HQ in Dubai, in a move to reduce monthly satellite communication costs. World-Link Communications is supplying and installing the satellite system which will be serviced by Stratos. The service plan for UASC includes low-cost pre-paid crew calling, as well as voice and data communications with its Dubai office.
