  • Oman: Sunday, June 17 - 2007 at 07:24

Petroleum Development Oman has won shareholder approval to fully develop the Mabrouk field. The plans for the field, which currently produces around 8,000 barrels of oil per day, requires the drilling of up to 80 new wells and the construction of a production station and gathering system. It is hoped the field will produce around 15-20,000 barrels of oil and 1-2m cubic metres of gas per day by 2009.
