In addition, Zachariou will serve as Acting Managing Director for Saudi Arabia. He replaces Andreas Gregoriou, who has accepted a senior position on the client side.

Zachariou will continue to be based in Dubai, where he has served in a variety of managerial roles since November 2004. Previously, he had been General Manager of Synovate Greece for five years, and had also worked at Synovate's operation in Saudi Arabia.

Nicos Rossides, Synovate's CEO for Central/Eastern Europe and the Middle East, says Zachariou brings a broad research background and deep knowledge of the Gulf markets to his new role.

"Andreas has considerable expertise in applying Synovate's leading edge solutions to a variety of client needs, and he will lead the introduction of new research offerings in this key market space."

Rossides also thanked Gregoriou for his contributions to the company's business in the Middle East. "Under his leadership, we have consolidated Synovate's leading position in Saudi Arabia and have expanded our business in UAE and the rest of the Gulf. We look forward to continuing to work together with Andreas in his new role."
