Batelco and JVs share knowledge at Group IT Forum

Batelco, one of the Middle East region's leading integrated communications companies, has hosted a one-day Group IT forum at the company's headquarters in Hamala.
Senior IT managers from Batelco Bahrain and the company's joint ventures - QualityNet (Kuwait), Umniah (Jordan), Batelco Jordan, Sabafon (Yemen) and anis (Batelco's ICT subsidiary), were in attendance to present their current and future IT operational and development plans. The participating groups also shared their individual in-house development solutions and their partnership arrangements with international and regional ICT companies.
"By discussing our individual plans and sharing our knowledge, every member of the Batelco Group can benefit," said Batelco Information Systems General Manager Saleh Tarradah.
"The event identified a number of action points for cooperation and coordination in the areas of: Application development, Business Relationship Management, IT Governance, Licensing, Training & Development, Shared Group IT Knowledge base and Opportunities for purchase of certain systems and solutions," he said.
"We were delighted with the positive response from all parties concerned. The forum was found to be very beneficial and this has encouraged us to plan a second one to take place within the next three months."
