Dubai $82bn aviation investments

Dubai will invest $82bn in its aviation sector to 2015 to turn the emirate into world aviation and logistics hub, President of the Department of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Ahmad bin Saeed Al Maktoum, said at the Paris Air Show. The investment will go into tripling the passenger and doubling cargo capacity at Dubai airport, building Dubai World Central airport, and the expansion of Emirates' fleet from 100 to over 180 aircraft, Sheikh Ahmad said.
