Toshiba today announced the launch of the latest addition to its Satellite range - the Satellite U300 and Satellite Pro U300 series of ultra-portable, durable notebooks featuring the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor.

"We are extremely excited about today's launch of this notebook. The Satellite series is the ideal alternative for notebook users looking for high performance mobile technology," said Santosh Varghese, Regional General Manager for Toshiba Computer Systems Division Middle East and Africa.

"Toshiba understands that mobile consumers are always looking for new and innovative products that meet their specific needs, and we will continue to invest heavily in research and development, ensuring that the Satellite range is always at the forefront of mobile technology."

Both notebooks feature latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor. The processors, code named Santa Rosa, are part of the latest Intel Centrino Duo processor technology, reducing power consumption while boosting overall performance from graphics to wireless capabilities.
