Serco grabs $795m Metro deal

UK-based Serco has won a £400m deal to operate and maintain the first two lines of the Dubai Metro, according to Railway Gazette International. The 12.5-year contract will start from summer 2007. Serco will run the operations control centre, provide station staff and attendants on the automated trains and maintain rolling stock, track and station facilities. Dubai's Roads & Transport Authority is the client.
