Train the trainer programme puts English language teachers through their paces in Abu Dhabi
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, June 20 - 2007 at 14:02
- PRESS RELEASE
Abu Dhabi Education Zone and the British Council recently completed their first joint Train the Trainer programme for English language teachers in the Emirate.
The training sessions covered a range of topics from 'Classroom Management' and 'Giving Instructions' to 'Motivating Students' and 'Teaching Grammar'.
Paul Sellers, Director, British Council explains: "The trainer training session built on their current skills, which will in turn help trainers to design their own sessions in the future. During the course, they were asked to work in small groups to design their own teacher training session, which involved the trainers doing their own research work. All the trainers left the course with at least five 'ready made' teacher training sessions, which can be adapted to meet the needs of their own situation."
