With the procurement of this license, AXA Insurance will be now able to offer its comprehensive international Healthcare series to corporations and individuals in the market.
Says Andrea Rossi, CEO of AXA Insurance Gulf in the Middle East,
"We applaud the Abu Dhabi government in this initiative to provide its expatriates with the highest standard of living, including the provision of world-class healthcare services for nationals & residents alike."
Says Edouard Lesellier, Regional Healthcare Manager, "We can now provide our Abu Dhabi customers with comprehensive health plans which can be best described as an innovative merger of the best benefits between the Abu Dhabi requirements and our standard plans. This allows us to pursue our strategy of offering comprehensive health plans at a reasonable cost whilst meeting local regulation."
AXA Insurance offers under its standard individual plans the unique benefit of guaranteeing wide coverage for all for pre-existing and chronic conditions after a two-year moratorium, plus the possibility of a portability of terms once the member leaves a group scheme or the United Arab Emirates thanks to the support of its sister company AXA PPP Healthcare. Given below are the four types of plans offered by AXA.
1. Global Area 1 - worldwide cover
Global Area 1 is the highest level of cover in the International Healthcare Series range. As the name suggests, the plan provides comprehensive cover on a worldwide basis.
2. Global Area 2 - worldwide cover excluding USA , Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong & Switzerland
At the heart of the International Healthcare Series this is our most popular plan, which is designed for people who require worldwide cover but are unlikely to need treatment in the USA, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and Switzerland where medical costs can be particularly high.
3. Regional Plus and Regional Cover
As the name suggests, our Regional plans offer comprehensive cover within AGCC States plus India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, Nepal and Bhutan. The plan is designed for residents of the Emirates who might travel extensively throughout the Gulf and major trading nations of the sub-continent and South Asia.
