- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, June 21 - 2007 at 13:54
- PRESS RELEASE
Sony Gulf recently announced the launch of the Cyber-shot DSC-W200, the first Cyber-shot W-Series camera to feature 12.1 effective megapixels.
The Cyber-shot W200 features Sony's Face Detection technology which enables the camera to recognise and track up to eight human faces, automatically optimising focus, exposure, flash and other settings for beautiful portraits and group shots under low light conditions or with moving subjects.
Mr. Taiju Ishikawa, marketing manager, Digital Imaging Division, Sony Gulf FZE said: "The W200 is perfect for users who want a powerful camera that is still sleek, stylish and convenient. You never know when a great photo opportunity is going to arise and the Cyber-shot W200 is small enough to carry around in your pocket, yet it's packed full of features to help you take the best photos possible."
Another clever feature contained inside this small but super smart camera is Double Anti-Blur technology which combines Super SteadyShot image stabilisation with an extremely high sensitivity up to ISO 3200, simply meaning you can capture clear, un-blurred images even in low light conditions or without flash.
Its 3x optical zoom, 6.2x HD smart zoom, 6x digital zoom and up to 18x smart zoom means you can choose whether you want to take a close-up portrait or a landscape shot - all at the touch of a button. In fact, The W200 makes it so easy to take a great picture; it leaves you free to be as creative as you like.
The Cyber-shot W200 is powered by the Bionz™ processing engine, first used in Sony's Alpha digital SLR camera system. This newly-added circuitry delivers the fast image processing speeds needed to produce color rich, detailed pictures for true high-definition photo viewing. The Bionz engine also helps to speed up the cameras' response times and extend battery life. On a full charge, the W200 unit can shoot up to 300 shots.
This camera also features full HD output - meaning your photographs will have breathtaking clarity and colour. Full HD quality (1080i) still images can be viewed on any BRAVIA television or HD-ready display; a great way to relive the memories with your friends and family.
To enjoy the Full HD experience use the optional Cyber-shot station CSS-HD1 - just place the W200 in the station to set up a HD slideshows. The station will also charge your camera and comes supplied with all the necessary connectors and a remote control for ease of use.
Another affordable option is the VMC-MHC1 cable which plugs directly into the W200 and allows for full HD image playback.
