Etisalat and Nokia discuss Nokia devices strategy and roadmap

Senior executives of Etisalat have concluded a visit to the main offices of Nokia Siemens Networks in Finland, where they interacted with key executives, discussed key strategic roadmaps, and laid the groundwork for future cooperation.

The team from Etisalat was headed by CEO Mohammad Al Qamzi and included Chief Marketing Officer Essa Al Haddad and the Executive Vice President of Engineering Fadhel Al Ansari, and the host team was headed by Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo, President and CEO, Nokia and Simon Beresford-Wylie, CEO, Nokia Siemens Network.

During the course of the visit, the Etisalat team was introduced to the overall strategy roadmap of Nokia Siemens Networks. Further discussions revolved around the roadmap for Nokia Siemens Networks' Service Core and Applications, as well as a roadmap and strategy for the Nokia Devices division.

This visit was instrumental in establishing a direct communication link between one of the largest telecom infrastructure and mobile terminals supplier in the world, and the leading telecom service provider in the region. A partnership of this nature would enable the realization of more efficient telecom networks and services, bringing even more convenience and benefit to the end user.
