- PRESS RELEASE
Aligned with the slogan, Life's Good Without Drugs, LG Electronics (LGE) took part in the March Against Drug Abuse.
During the March employees from LGE, and the Middle East Complex, an agent for LGE in Jordan joined the crowds to call for a drug free Jordan. The event itself was organised by the Anti Narcotic Department (AND) of Jordan's security forces and its proceedings took off at the entrance of the National Security Directorate located opposite Jordan's Palace of Justice marching to the Prince Hamzeh Hall in Sports City.
As part of their participation in the event, LGE and MEC distributed caps and t-shirts to the participants, bearing the slogan "Life's Good without Drugs". Furthermore, LGE utilized a large Plasma Display Panel (PDP), which has exceptional presentation capabilities, to feature videos and pictures relevant to drug abuse to the marching crowds.
Commenting on their participation in this event, Mr. Kevin Cha General Manager of the LGE Amman Branch said, "We at LGE are always proud to be taking part in events that echo our commitment to the community, and we only hope that through our presence in this march we are contributing towards creating a healthier and cleaner Jordan for future generations".
LGE, for long, has placed health-related issues among their top priorities, which brought about the launch of products that cater to eliminating consumer health concerns while being environmentally friendly. Being a leading producer of refrigerators, televisions, air conditions, and other appliances, LGE has ensured that all its products in their HealthCare product range adhere to the highest health standards and to international health regulations as well.
From his end, Mr. Ghazi Farouq the Assistant Managing Director for Marketing at the Middle East Complex, an agent for LGE products in Jordan, said, "Our participation in this event serves to show our commitment to all efforts made by the Anti-Narcotic Department in its quest to fight drug abuse. We are and will remain a local entity that utilizes its global outreach to support national initiatives".
LGE has been a long time supporter for health initiatives launched across the Kingdom, as it has been the main sponsor for the Dead Sea Ultra Marathon since its launch 14 years ago, while its proceeds go towards the Society of Care for the Neurological Paints. LGE has also created the Hope Campaign initiative specifically for Jordan to help bring smiles to the faces suffering from Cleft Lip and Palate.
