Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) launches GCC Roadshow in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait

Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), launched its Roadshow from 23-26 June 2007 for the first time in the GCC, as part of a regional marketing effort to promote Abu Dhabi tourism and the emirate's plans for developments in the tourism sector.
ADTA and partners are promoting Abu Dhabi's tourism products during the roadshow to raise awareness of the diversity and wealth of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates as whole. Table top presentations by roadshow partners will promote holiday packages and excellent retail offerings available this summer in the GCC tailored to attract regional visitors alike.
H.E. Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, ADTA Chairman "The years ahead will see the ADTA focusing on new forms of tourism including event and conference tourism which can serve the GCC region as a whole, adding that the emirate will host a number of international exhibitions and events." He also stressed on the significance of the GCC market for tourism in Abu Dhabi referring to economic unity in the GCC and to the cultural proximity between the UAE and its neighbors which makes the Emirate a major attraction to GCC visitors.
The road show delegation traveled to Jeddah today, the first roadshow destination and will head to Riyadh, Doha and Kuwait City in the next three days to provide first hand information and raise awareness of the various attractions that Abu Dhabi can offer; as well as to explore opportunities for collaboration with travel trade in each market.
