Dubai participates in ALTM-2007 exhibition in China

Dubai had a strong presence at the debut edition of the Asia Luxury Travel Market (ALTM-2007) in the Chinese city of Shanghai.
The DTCM had set up the Dubai Stand measuring 72 square metres. The participation by DTCM and its co-participants in this exhibition comes about two months of signing of the Approved Destination Status (ADS) agreement between China and the UAE.
The DTCM Executive Overseas Promotions, Mr. Khalid bin Nassar, said the ALTM, held at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre from June 19 to 21, was aimed at the high-end luxury traveller (defined as those with a net worth of US1 million and more, excluding their primary residence) in Asia Pacific region. The ALTM is the sister event of International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) held in Cannes. The show is appointment based and more than 300 international buyers from China, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Korea, Singapore, Taipei and Thailand.
The Dubai co-participants were Alpha Tours, Arabian Explorers, Chelsea Hotels and Hotel Apartments, Desert Adventure Tourism, Dubai Marina Beach Resort & Spa, Emirates Hotels and Resorts, Gulf Circle Tours, Gulf Ventures, Jebel Ali International Hotels, Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort and Spa Dubai, Net Group, Planet Travel Tours and Cargo, Royal Arabian Tours, SNTTA Emir Tours, Travco Travel, White Sands Tours and Travels and Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department (DNRD).
