Dubai Courts' judges and department heads attend Al Fursan Programme on best practices

The Dubai School of Government (DSG) hosted the 'Best Practice Forum', the final course of the year-long Al-Fursan Leaders programme, designed for Dubai Courts and launched last September.
Ghaleb Darabya, Head of Executive Education at DSG, said: "Since the launch of Al Fursan programme, almost a year ago, the participants succeeded in developing their knowledge and experience in various areas of leadership, technology and system management, to name a few.
"The programme helped introduce various case studies from different parts of the world, and develop solutions customised to the local environment and nature of the Judicial system in Dubai and the UAE".
Dr. Ahmed Bin Hazim, Dubai Courts' Director-General and 15 senior guests from UAE Courts will be present at the forum. Among the speakers will be District Judge NG Peng Hong, Subordinate Courts, Singapore; H.E Dr. Salaheddin Al Bashir, Managing Partner (Founder), International Business Legal Associates (IBLAW); Ms Seeto Wei Peng, Deputy Chief Information Officer, Subordinate Courts, Singapore and Dr. Habib Al Mulla, Managing Partner, Habib Al Mullah Company Advocate & Legal Consultants.
Topics will include a number of case studies, such as the management system at Singapore's Subordinate Courts and Jordan's judicial reform, innovations in court technology and an overview of the UAE's legislative and judicial system.
Since its inception, the Al Fursan programme has focused on leadership and management of change; strategic thinking and planning; measurement and development of organisational performance and financial management.
The Dubai School of Government offers a range of customised and open enrolment programmes through its faculty and in cooperation with international partners. The partners include Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government, the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Singapore, and a network of renowned experts.
