The Holding Group launches first of a kind school training program

The Holding Group (THG), the Middle East's largest advertising and communications enterprise and parent company of a number of leading advertising, PR and marketing disciplines, announced the commencement of the THG school training program.
The program entails providing high school students with the opportunity to formulate an extensive up-close look of the working environment in addition to the identification of the essential skills required by the marketing communications practice.
"We take great pride in being the first marketing communication entity to introduce the Kingdom with such a fruitful educational and practical initiative. We operate in an industry that places great emphasis on youth and creativity, thus, enabling the young generations to benefit from such a significant early work experience that will, without a doubt, contribute to their future career development. This is a true testament of our pioneer business philosophy and commitment to the industry's advancement," stated Sharif Abu Khadra, Chairman of the Holding Group.
The main emphasis of the school training program is aiding university students identify their core educational competencies and their application in the actual working environment. As a result of undertaking this program, students will develop a more comprehensive idea of which careers to pursue. Moreover, having examined a real work experience, this program is also expected to upgrade the students' professional skills and attitudes which will automatically raise the standards expected from university education.
"This program surely contributes to the growth of young future marketers and the marketing communications sector as a whole. The proficient skills acquired by THG trainees will not only create a force in the advancement of the marketing university programs to encompass a more holistic approach, but will also result in the evolvement of the local marketing communication industry at large," concluded Abu Khadra.
THG Jordan includes advertising agencies TEAM/Y&R, Intermarkets and Objects, direct marketing specialists Wunderman, media buying and planning arm Mediaedge:cia and public and media relations firms ASDA'A and Polaris.
