Kuwait to ban Indian airlines

  • Kuwait: Tuesday, June 26 - 2007 at 07:33

Kuwait will ban all flights by Indian airlines from 1 July over a dispute on reciprocal landing rights, IANS reported. The Gulf state had wanted to raise capacity for its own carriers to 6,800 seats per week from the current 5,200 to Indian destinations. Three Indian airlines, Air India, Air Indian Express and Indian have reciprocal landing rights in Kuwait under a bilateral agreement signed in March 2006.
