Orbit Communications enters pay-per-view agreement with NBC Universal International Television Distribution

Orbit Communications Company and NBC Universal International Television Distribution have entered into a multiple year licensing agreement for pay-per-view rights in the Middle East and N. Africa to a selection of current films from NBC Universal, it was announced today.

Highlights of films included in the deal are You, Me and Dupree; Waist Deep; The Break-Up; Ground Truth; Something New and Miami Vice.

Orbit has been diversifying and increasing its variety of quality offerings since its inception over 10 years ago to become the leading provider of satellite television and radio services in the region.

"This deal will further enhance Orbit's movie offerings," said Orbit Senior Vice President of Western Programming Khulud Abu-Homos. "Pay-per-view movie offerings are particularly important to Orbit subscribers, as touch-of-a-button pay-per-view services provide an ideal solution for busy professionals and families looking for an accessible, unique and relaxing way to spend time at home."

The agreement occurs at an optimal time, as Orbit's offerings have increased across the board including more comedy, news and family-oriented programming. Now Orbit subscribers have even more choice and can look forward to watching chart topping films and theatrical releases on Orbit for years to come.
