Supply call on Opec

Oil prices will soar in the coming months unless Opec lifts production, according to London-based Centre for Global Energy Studies quoted in RTE Business. The world needs more oil if another price surge is to be avoided, the group said in its monthly study. Crude has been trading around $70 a barrel, but Opec remains unconvinced world markets need more oil; instead blaming refinery bottlenecks and geopolitical tensions for high prices.
