Dubai Islamic Bank ties up with du through CIT Global MCP (Multi Channel Platform)
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, June 27 - 2007 at 08:34
- PRESS RELEASE
CIT Global, a leading international eCommerce/eCommerce solution provider with business delivered in more than 30 countries worldwide, announced the tremendously successful User Acceptance Test of its Multichannel and billing hub project at Dubai Islamic Bank.
Based on CIT Technology and its vast experience with Saudi and GCC central banks, Dubai Islamic Bank is now able of offering the du payment service through its different channels like ATMs, Internet banking, tellers and the Interactive Voice Response systems (IVR) over the phone, and applying its payment process over the Non-Stop "Tandem" core banking applications while communicating with du as a third party through a complex communication technique.
CIT Global started the project by helping the bank define its needs for the integration with DU, at the same time, the bank was planning to make the BEA Weblogic Integration platform as its internal middleware and let all its channels communicate with its core banking application or with other external service providers or other channels. CIT Global has managed to deliver the project in time and supported the bank allover the production deployment and helped DIB to reach the Go Live phase without any obstacles.
The solution on the other hand realizes the integration of DIB's core infrastructure and Bank end systems through the Multichannel Platform developed by CIT Global. Moreover, the solution provided has the power of portability in which it could be deployed on either the Non-Stop Tandem machines or any other platform that might be considered by the bank. The Bank also plans to reuse the same model with other governmental utilities such as; Electricity, Water, phones etc.
"The project is considered to be the first milestone in building our foundation for MCP Multi Channel Platform that will serve banking institutions by integrating all bank channels with diversified segments of bill issuers, said Amr Hazem, Managing Director - CIT Global Middle East. "It could be the ultimate solution for such organizations to fulfill the current as well as the future needs for all Middleware infrastructures and related requirements," he added.
Smaller banks can also outsource the billing service for their billers by connecting to banks having the MCP and acting as a payment hub thus realizing mutual revenues for both parties.
