- PRESS RELEASE
Oxford Business Group (OBG), the authoritative UK-based publishing, research and consultancy services organisation, is to be media sponsor of this year's City and GCC Countries Conference to be held at the Merchant Taylors' Hall in London on June 28 2007.
Key themes of this year's conference, which will be addressed by the Lord Mayor of the City of London, John Stuttard, and a number of high profile speakers from London and the Gulf states, are market regulation and corporate governance, capital and private equity markets, Islamic finance and GCC investment flows and the role of the City of London.
The conference presents an unprecedented opportunity for representatives from the Gulf states and the international financial community to network and discuss the evolving role of the Arab region in international finance and to develop mutually beneficial relationships.
Lord Mayor John Stuttard, who acts as ambassador for the UK-based financial services industry, said: "It is important that we actively seek ways of deepening relationships with the Gulf states, where massive liquidity, infrastructure renewal and diversification beyond oil and gas offer great opportunities for anyone involved in finance and professional services."
The conference is being organized by the Middle East Association, which has promoted trade between the UK, Middle East, North Africa and Turkey for over forty years.
