'We strive to maintain smart services at MobileCom,' Majd Shweikeh, MobileCom CEO said. 'With these services we are enhancing the quality of people's lives through yielding hi-tech to their communication needs,' she added.

'Friend's SMS' is the first commercial deployment of SMS Pay for Me service in the Middle East, it was launched to promote friends remaining in touch.

MobileCom network customers can opt now for this service, which is designed to enhance people's remaining in close contact and overcoming financial boundaries and limitations. 'Friend's SMS' simply offers the customer the chance to help his/her friends or family members to stay in touch even if they are out of credit by simply choosing to pay for the messages they send to him/her.

To benefit from 'Friend's SMS' service, customers can add their friends' numbers by sending 'Sub' or 'ÓÌá' followed by the friend mobile number to 99566, where as the subscriber's friend has to send the messages to 99566 with the mobile number followed by the text.

The Group's GSM operator has put in place the technology that would enable its subscribers to send 'Flash' SMS's that will pop up on the receiver's screen, ensuring immediate attention.

'Flash' is sent by keying the number of the desired recipient followed by the message and then sending it to the number 99560. This service works over all mobile networks, serving as a message that hardly can be ignored.

More still, MobileCom has introduced another first of its kind service in the Kingdom allowing customers to delete their sent messages from the recipient's inbox.

'Auto Delete SMS' enables users to send a text message knowing that it will delete itself from the recipient's mobile phone after specified period of time from which the person has received it.

Customers wishing to delete their message should send an SMS to 99561 starting with the duration followed by the receiver's phone number and the text. After the time specified in the sent message, another free SMS will replace the old one.

It is worth mentioning that this service will be available in both English and Arabic.

Shweikeh concluded underlining that MobileCom will continue providing these value enriching services to enhance its relationship with its customers.
