- PRESS RELEASE
Samsung Electronics Co., LTD., a leader in consumer electronics and digital media technologies announced the launch of its state of art Home Appliance products in the Kingdom.
Speaking at the event, Inamullah Butt, Samsung KSA Marketing Manager said "the idea behind our concept was to invite journalists and distinguished guests to a day out in Obhur where we rented a beach villa. Guests enjoyed a full day of activities while testing out our full range of Samsung products."
A football tournament was played out between the media, United Matbouli Group and Samsung Electronics employees. A swimming competition, chess tournament and a cooking competition also took place followed by BBQ cooked by journalists and attending VIP's. Jameel Dakkak from Dazzle magazine stated after the event "I want to personally thank Mr. Cho, Samsung's new Country Manager our host for this day out that was informative and exciting for all who attended."
Samsung Electronics air-conditioner V-series range delivers the world's first air-conditioners that fight SARS, bird-flu and second infections. The Samsung patented Micro Plasma Ion, embedded in the V-series - the hallmark of the new range - generates active hydrogen atoms which combine with oxygen ions to strongly purify the air by decomposing viruses, bacteria and allergens. All the new models feature the cutting-edge Samsung technology - Good Sleep Mode - that automatically adjusts the room temperature and maintains the optimum skin condition during the three stages of dormancy: 'falling asleep', 'sound asleep' and 'wake up'.
Samsung Air Wash System is a revolutionary washer that removes unpleasant smells, microscopic allergens, harmful bacteria and microbes through the washer's innovative hot air technology and physical strength. Detergent or other chemicals are no longer needed with this washing machine while its unique functions decrease the wear-and-tear from the washing or dry cleaning of clothes. The "Stop and Add - Pause" option allows you to stop the washer and throw in your laundry should you have forgotten an item earlier. In this function, a built-in sensor detects the water level and signals when it is safe to open the door. Also with this washing machine's new ergonomic door design, you no longer have to bend when loading or unloading your laundry.
The new first-of-a-kind microwave oven comes equipped with semiconductor-based sensor technology. The new technology is specifically developed to overcome barriers of conventional humidity sensors and thereby help customers reduce cooking time with improved results. Samsung's new microwave ovens utilise artificial intelligence, which is the first-of-its-kind, to monitor ambient gas/vapour emission in food. At the push of a button, a sensor detection device automatically checks the food condition and stops by itself after calculating the required time for the cooking process. Furthermore, with the sensor technology, it not only reduces cooking time but also improves the quality, as proven by cooking tests conducted by international food institutes.
Samsung's first-ever four-door convertible refrigerator features four climate zones with adjustable temperature settings to allow truly customized food storage. Samsung engineers have created a unique four-zone system that provides precise and independent temperature controls to optimize storage for different food items. The core of the convertible refrigerator lies in its exclusive time-divided multicycle (TDM) system, which includes four separate evaporators to ensure optimal temperature and humidity for each section. The TDM system keeps produce fresh longer due to independent temperature controls. Two convertible drawers offer high temperature settings and low temperature settings (-13°F - quick freeze) in addition to standard refrigerator, freezer and soft freeze settings. Thus, ice cream can be stored extra-cold, while vegetables are kept softly frozen to prevent spoiling. Drawers can be converted from refrigerator to freezer settings and back again. A large digital LCD panel controls the cooling zones and provides convenient, intuitive operation.
The new range of the award-winning flat-panel LCD and PDP HDTVs merges innovative technology with cutting-edge designs to produce the most satisfying TV experience for customers wishing to capitalize on digital entertainment and high definition viewing.
The M8-Series, the flagship model for the LCD line-up, is a full HDTV range supporting the highest video-resolution standard in the industry, 1080p. With a resolution of 1920x1080, the models offer full high definition pictures - nearly two times greater than standard HD models, a dynamic contrast ratio of 15000:1 as well as supports three Samsung patented technologies - 'Super Clear Panel', 'Movie Plus' and 'Wide Color Enhancer'. While the 'Super Clear Panel' feature improves color reproduction levels and boosts the contrast ratio, the 'Movie Plus' technology calculates the motion component of the incoming video signal and interpolates the action to create new frames without the judder effect and the 'Wide Color Enhancer' ensures better presentation of colors in bright pictures.
