- PRESS RELEASE
Jordan Telecom Group (JTG) is wrapping up its distinguished support for the national campaign 'Vote for Petra' by setting up Orange voting stations at the Group's shops all over the Kingdom.
Earlier in April, the Group constructed a static tent in Petra that contains voting kiosks to allow all visitors to vote free of charge for the rosy city, all days of the week, and until the final day of voting on July 7.
Furthermore, the Group's tent and bus have toured most regions in the Kingdom, amounting to 57 locations, inviting visitors to vote and facilitating the process by helping people to perform voting smoothly.
The Group said that it is proud of being one of the first national companies to adopt this campaign that backs the voting of the ancient city, saying it will continue to exert its efforts to realize the Jordanian dream for Petra to become one of the world's seven wonders.
The Group also participated in the two-million vote campaign, which took place during last week by cooperating with different public security directorates around the Kingdom. The Group also participated in the Armed Forces four-million vote campaign, launched in Aqaba in the same week.
Moreover, JTG has cooperated with many parties to achieve this goal, such as universities, the Tourism Board, Ministry of Culture, Greater Amman Municipality, Petra Region Authority, Ministry of Education as well as others.
Philippe Vogeleer, Chief Strategy Officer, Jordan Telecom Group commented on the support by saying, "All our technical and technological capabilities are put in the service of the civic society to achieve this goal. The Jordan Telecom Group is proud of its Jordanian identity and realizes the importance of this national duty that falls on the shoulders of Jordanian institutes and companies to promote Petra, and clearly place it on the international touristic map. This initiative is in harmony with the Group's continued drive to interact with the civic society, and to support its different activities."
