Over the four days of the tournament, paintings produced by the children were placed on display at Commercialbank's corporate hospitality chalet at Doha Golf Club and proved to be a huge success with the bank's guests and patrons.

The vibrant colours and themes immediately caught everyone's eye and appreciation for the artistic imagination of these children. Before the end of the final day's play, over half the paintings were bought by visitors to the chalet bringing in tremendous appreciation and much needed funds to The Centre.

As for the paintings that were not sold, these were bought by Commercialbank; thereby reiterating the bank's ongoing commitment not only to sport but also deserving causes. In addition, the bank's hugely-popular annual corporate golf day raised over QAR200,000/- resulting in much-needed funds being handed over The Centre's organisers and staff.

Under the guidance of chairperson Her Highness Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al Missnad, The Centre was established to meet the demands of the Qatari society to establish a center that provides comprehensive services to children with disabilities.

The newly constructed Shafallah Centre has been designed in accordance with the highest standards and latest developments in the field of children with special needs. The Centre aims at providing all the children with the best care, services and educational facilities that will enable them to adapt to the surrounding environment. In doing so, it allows them the opportunity to live among others in the community and educate these gifted children to meet the challenges of society.

"The paintings were a great talking point in our chalet and were quickly bought by many of our guests," said Commercialbank Group CEO Andrew Stevens. "The Shaffalah Centre does an excellent job and we were only too happy to help them raise these vital funds through the Commercialbank Qatar Masters and our annual corporate golf day."

The children's paintings are currently displayed in the lobby of Commercialbank main branch on Doha's Grand Hamad Street.
