Vela Systems, a leading supplier of mobile software for the AEC industry in the United States, today announced a distributor agreement for its Vela Software Suite with Collaboration Management and Control Solutions (CMCS), the leading supplier of project, portfolio and risk management solutions in the Middle East.

Vela Systems mobile software streamlines and accelerates the field administration processes in construction, capital projects and capital equipment management. Vela fundamentally changes the workflow and activities on construction sites - replacing pencil and paper and tubes of drawings with tablet-based workflow and drawing mark-up applications. Vela's customers save time, reduce risk, and increase profitability.

"There are an amazing number of exciting construction projects going on in the Middle East today," said Tim Curran, CEO of Vela Systems. "We have proven our solution's value in the United States and are excited about deploying in the gulf region. CMCS has over 20 years experience as the leading provider of project and construction management solutions in the region. CMCS is the ideal choice to help Vela penetrate the market."

CMCS has added Vela Systems to its portfolio of products because customers can log critical field information, access plans and drawings right in the field, thereby improving the efficiency of field personnel and accelerating project delivery. Additionally, information logged in Vela Systems software integrates with Primavera Contract Manager to accelerate project communication, reduce risk, and avoid surprises. Vela Systems extends the value of Primavera from the office to the field and back.

Bassam Samman, CEO and Founder of CMCS, said: "Vela's construction software suite is an ideal business software for this fast growing Middle East market. While this robust software improves the productivity of mobile employees and project efficiency, it also provides a smart and innovative solution to enhance client service level by instantly updating them at every project step. With this partnership we hope to develop the quality standards of the region's booming industry."
