Andrea Moneta leaves UniCredit to take top posts at Dubai Financial Group

Andrea Moneta, a member of the Executive Committee of UniCredit, left the Group today to take on the role of Managing Director and CFO of Dubai Financial Group, the financial Holding company of Dubai Group.
Grown professionally at Accenture and at the European Central Bank of Frankfurt, Moneta, 41, has spent the last seven years with UniCredit, where he was a key player in the amazing performance and growth of the Group.
Moneta joined UniCredit as Chief Financial Officer (2000-2002) before leading the Private Banking and Asset Management (2002-2004) and Central and Eastern Europe divisions (2004-2007). In these capacities, he served as Chairman, Deputy Chairman or Chief Executive Officer of several major subsidiaries of the Group, including Pioneer Global Asset Management, UniCredit Private Banking, Bank Pekao, BPH Bank, Zagrebaska Banka, Bulbank and Yapi Kredi.
He was also the Chief Integration Officer for the € 20 billion merger between UniCredit and HVB-BACA.
Moneta leaves UniCredit after having successfully merged and developed the banks of the Group in 18 Central and Eastern European countries and after having achieved the best ever results in the Region.
Moneta holds University Degrees in Political Sciences and Economics and in Business Administration and attended executive training in Banking and Financial Markets (Wharton and NYU). He is also qualified as Dottore Commercialista and Revisore Contabile (Certified Chartered Public Accountant).
