- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, July 01 - 2007 at 15:55
- PRESS RELEASE
APC-MGE a global leader in critical power and cooling services, recently hosted an industry event for its strategic partners and key customers in the Fairmont Hotel, Dubai.
APC-MGE was formed in 2007, when Schneider Electric acquired APC and combined its industry leadership with that of MGE UPS SYSTEMS.
Doimo, who is currently touring the region, presented the new APC-MGE market strategy to partners, vendors, consultants and key customers. Until February 2007, Doimo served as President of MGE Inc., the $200M fully integrated operation of MGE North America headquartered in Costa Mesa, California. He has been with MGE since 1991 and has over 15 years of management experience in the power quality, protection, and conversion marketplace. Doimo's presentation and keynote speech focused on APC-MGE growing into the role of a trusted advisor to many Middle East clients for whom power protection is key.
"Most of our clients in the Middle East run critical applications, we need to stay awake for them and develop efficient enterprise solutions to postpone power limitations", said Doimo. APC-MGE is a customer centric company which promotes innovation and profitable growth, committed to delivering the most innovative solutions, such as the award-winning and patented InfraStruXureŽ power and cooling architecture, and the MGE Galaxy™/EPS range, powering some of the largest data centers in the world.
The local market situation was covered expertly by Dr. Saeed Al Barwani, ex CEO of e-hosting/Datafort. Dr. Al-Barwani showcased the immense changes in the region since the seventies and gave an overview of economic projections for the GCC. He also explained the projects which are under way to stem the power demand of developing cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The evening concluded with a note from Philip Hughes, APC-MGE's regional director, who has been heading the APC business in the region over the last 10 years.
"We are excited to see our partners and solution providers recognize the market dynamics in power and cooling. This is a time of unprecedented change and we stand committed to providing the best products, solutions, and programs to keep our partners & customers successful", said Philip Hughes, Regional Director, ME Zone.
