Saudi to boost oilfield protection

Saudi Arabia will use a special force of 35,000 men to protect oil and industrial facilities against militant attacks, Reuters quoted the Interior Minister as saying. Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz also told members of the Shura Council that the kingdom was holding more than 3,000 suspects out of 9,000 militants seized since 2003. Some of them will face trial, he said.
