OpenSpirit announces new global offices in UAE and UK

OpenSpirit has opened a new office in the Middle East/Africa region and has expanded its UK office, which supports Europe, Libya and the CIS countries.

A Pre-Sales Technical Advisor has also been assigned to the Asia Pacific region.

Sebastien Ferreira, Business Development Manager, Middle East, Africa and South Asia, joined OpenSpirit on June 1 and will be responsible for direct sales and support for the region, as well as managing the existing OpenSpirit authorized Agents and Resellers. He will be located in Abu Dhabi, UAE, pending approval of the Branch office by UAE officials. Arbaab Muzaffar, Pre-Sales Technical Advisor, will be joining Ferreira in this new region on July 16.

Nick Cabot came to OpenSpirit in May as the new Business Manager for Europe, CIS and Libya. He is located in Woking, Surrey (UK). Joining Cabot in the role of Pre-Sales Technical Advisor is David Wright.

Providing technical expertise for the Asia Pacific region is Len Chia, who joined the company as a Pre-Sales Technical Advisor in May
and will initially be located in Perth, Australia. He reports to Mike Slee, Business Development Manager.

"We are continuing to build our infrastructure and presence around the world," says Dan Piette, President and CEO of OpenSpirit.

"During the past month, we have brought on new authorized Agents and Resellers in Kuwait, Libya and Nigeria to support a rapidly growing market, and added technical advisors to better support our clients. Nick and Sebastien are well versed in the area of E&P data management, and will spearhead the delivery of workflow efficiencies and data management solutions throughout these regions."


Ferreira comes to OpenSpirit from Schlumberger (SIS) where he served as the Operations Manager in Muscat, Oman. He started with SIS as a Data Management Engineer and assumed a number of different roles of increasing responsibility in Asia and the Middle East.

Cabot joins OpenSpirit from Geotrace, where he had account responsibility for India, Libya, and part of Europe. Prior to this, he served as an account manager at Landmark where he established the company's Russian and Eastern European market presence. He was also a sales manager for Paradigm's Europe, Africa and Middle East regions.

In addition to OpenSpirit's recent global growth, on June 11 the company moved its corporate headquarters to a new 13,000 square-foot facility.
