Green Packet Networks (GPN), a leading broadband wireless technology provider and Next Generation mobile solutions developer, has announced that it has established a distribution line for its Self Organising Network (SON) wireless products in Jordan and West Palestine, following a strategic agreement with Middle East Communications Corporation (MEC), a leading communications corporation based in Jordan.

The expansion is the latest move in a concentrated growth phase for the company, which has seen GPN's products launched in five months starting from Bahrain and including Saudi, Sudan, Morocco and the current countries mentioned above.

Following the distributor agreement, MEC has been granted a non-exclusive license to market products originated and developed by GPN. This includes SONbuddy software which is specifically targeted at wifi device manufacturers, health care providers, enterprises, colleges and universities; while the SONaccess solution will be targeting at enterprises, government offices, finance companies and telco providers. The SONmetro wireless broadband technology will also be offered to telcos, financial institutions, governments, education, and the oil and gas industry in the near future.

"We are delighted to work with MEC, as a network of strong channel distribution partners which will help us strengthen our presence throughout the MENA region," commented Dr. Ali Al Mashat, Chairman of GPN and the former founding CEO of the Arab Satellite Communications Organisation (ARABSAT).

"We are offering broadband wireless solutions and services at competitive rate with better user experience to end users, so we are looking forward to developing a strong customer portfolio through our partnership with MEC,"
