Oasis' presence at these events is aimed at bolstering the company's position in the international finance and leasing market. It is also significant as Oasis has said it plans to pursue new business opportunities in markets across the world and is restructuring itself to position for more aggressive growth in the coming years.

"International industry events give us the opportunity not only to pursue new business, but network with peers and partners and strengthen our position among professionals in the field," Salem Rashid Al Noaimi, Acting CEO of Oasis Leasing, said.

The Marine Money Week is often described as the "world's largest ship finance gathering", and was attended by more than 700 shipping companies, financiers, investors, lessors, and other associated industry professionals from around the world.

"The New York event is an ideal platform for us to network with the industry professionals and explore investment opportunities in shipping. At the Shanghai Airfinance event, Oasis, as a leading aircraft lessor, wanted to assess opportunities emerging out of the huge Chinese market," Al Noaimi said.

The business opportunities unfolded by China's emergence as a major player in the aviation market was the focal point of the 5th Annual China Airfinance Conference, which showcased the widely anticipated transformation of Chinese aviation.

The Chinese government has committed to building a total of 24 airports across the country and to receiving 150 aircraft deliveries per year within the next three years. Both Airbus and Boeing have predicted that the Chinese fleet will triple by 2025. Airbus estimates that over 13 percent of the total global aircraft financing within the next 20 years will only be for Chinese carriers.

"China's aviation sector is expanding rapidly and Oasis is already in a strong position to take advantage of these opportunities," Al Noaimi noted.

Last week, Oasis announced a tour of selected countries in the Middle East and North Africa region to hold exploratory meetings and brief the public and private sector players about leasing and other financing solutions that the company offers. Oasis also attended the 47th Paris Air Show that took place in Le Bourget, Paris from 18 - 24 of this month.
