The three-day campaign, which concluded on Tuesday, July 03, 2007, was open only to Injazat employees and organised in collaboration with the Health Authority Services - Abu Dhabi Blood Bank (ADBB). A large number of Injazat staff from various departments participated in the event, contributing to the essential activity of collecting blood and blood components for improving healthcare provision throughout the region.

Acting Clinical Director of the ADBB, Dr. Naima Oumeziane commented, "There was a very enthusiastic response and we were all impressed by the interest of the staff to participate in this important activity. Injazat is setting a very good example for other companies in the country to follow, by contributing holistically to the health and welfare of people in the UAE."

During 2006, the ADBB collected 10,000 units of blood and 500 units of Platelets Aphaeresis, with another 10,000 units of blood and 300 units of Platelets Aphaeresis already collected during the first quarter of 2007. UAE nationals, who represent 15 per cent of all donors, are the largest number of donors amongst the many different nationalities that give blood each year.

"We are very happy with the success of our campaign, and we would like to thank our staff for their donation and their sense of responsibility for overcoming health problems together. With 35 per cent of our staff being UAE nationals, we are a very community-oriented company, and it is therefore important for us to support such a valuable and life-saving mission,"

commented Ibrahim Mohamed Lari, Chief Executive Officer, Injazat Data Systems.
