UAE pipeline to bypas Hormuz

Abu Dhabi's International Petroleum Investment Company will award a contract in early August for the engineering and design of an oil pipeline to bypass the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reported. IPIC has invited six companies to bid for the project. The 1.5m bpd pipeline would allow the UAE to pump more than half of its crude exports to the Fujairah terminal, bypassing the straits.
