The agreement, concluded on behalf of Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), will lead to the creation of a centre in Dubai that will serve academic clusters in the region, and explore research initiatives between both entities. The collaboration will also enhance knowledge sharing between Dubai and the United States.

The CIED Dubai centre will offer programs in business and trade, competitiveness and leadership, law and public administration and policies, and institutional development, quality and education.

Dr. Ayoub Kazim, DKV and DIAC Executive Director, said:
"DKV and DIAC pursue a committed agenda to develop the emirate into a regional education hub. Our partnership with Georgetown University CIED is a step forward that will help enhance cooperation and understanding between us. We seek to align ourselves with internationally reputed institutions that will serve our regional demand by offering their finest academic programmes and accreditation."

This initiative comes in line with DKV and DIAC efforts to grow as a destination for learning excellence. DIAC and DKV are currently home to more than 18 academic institutions from 10 countries, serving the need for advanced graduate and post-graduate programmes in Computing, Engineering and Technology, Business Management, Life Sciences, Fashion and Media. DKV also has over 350 partners which include training centres, professional centres and HR companies.

The Center for Intercultural Education and Development fulfills Georgetown University's commitment to international education and service. The Center designs and implements executive education and technical training programmes for people and organisations from around the world. Its goal is to empower people to promote greater mutual understanding and support sustainable development. CIED's Executive Director, Chantal Santelices, says "we are pleased to announce this partnership with Dubai Knowledge City.
