The event, which took place recently, was attended by Chairman of the Group Board of Directors Dr Shabib Ammari, JTG Chief Executive Officer Mickael Ghossein, and Vice President JTG / CEO Enterprise Business Unit Sami Smeirat.

The night started with a speech delivered by Mr. Ghossein where he heartily welcomed the attendees who were joining the Group's celebrations in this turning point, saying: "Orange is ushering a new era of telecom operation in this region. Through Orange we are upgrading the status and reputation of the Jordan Telecom Group. And with Orange, we are going to reach levels we always aspired to reach. With it, we shall bring to Jordan the best telecom offers on the international market."

"Introducing Orange to the market is only our first step. At the Group, we have all worked extremely hard to reach this point, however we know that the real work starts now. In our hands rests a brand that is respected the world over. We now have to prove to our customers that Orange is different from anything else they have experienced. For this, we are ready to give our all and to do what it takes," added Ghossein.

The Orange commercial brand started as a dream of bringing people closer together, through simple, user friendly and reliable access. And now, several decades after its launch, Orange still carries the same values, wherever it reaches across the world.

For his end, Smeirat said: "By presenting Orange in the local market, our customers will be able to enjoy the great values of this commercial brand, through simplicity, reliability and innovation, as well as brining the latest internet services without barriers, changing by that their way of communication."

Wanadoo internet services became Orange earlier this month, joining a network of over 100 million customers in 220 markets around the world, lifting the communications industry to new horizons.

Ghossein concluded by saying: "As we welcome Orange to Jordan, we remind ourselves, that now, more than ever, we will continue to place our customer care services at the heart of our operation. We will do our best to continue to enhance our services for all those who seek them."
