The new multi-language website - www.adnec.ae - has been developed to give users clear and comprehensive information on visiting, exhibiting, or organising events at the of the state-of-the-art Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

The website, which is split into core sections to cater to the different needs of the exhibition market, offers visitors detailed information on the facilities and design of the recently completed venue. Exhibitors will also be able to view a 'guide to exhibiting at the exhibition centre' document and organisers will be able to access detailed technical information on facilities and services offered at the exhibition centre.

The website also contains specific information on Abu Dhabi and the UAE, targeting international visitors, as well a dedicated Press & Media section, including an innovative new 'webmasters' area.

The website has been built to be both user and search engine friendly with pages designed to appear as high as possible in the search engines' listings. Additionally the website has been built to adhere to internationally accepted standards of access for the visually impaired, despite these standards not currently being law in the UAE.

Commenting on the new website, ADNEC CEO Simon Horgan said:

'The exhibition industry is a global one and as such the internet is a hugely important communications tool for ADNEC. We have built what I consider to be the Middle East's most extensive exhibition website; illustrating yet again how we are raising the bar in the region's exhibition industry. The fact that this site has been built in several languages and to be accessible to the visually impaired is testament to ADNEC's commitment to quality.'

Phase 1 of Abu Dhabi's new exhibition centre was officially opened by H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in February 2007. The venue has already staged 12 major international exhibitions, welcoming more than 250,000 visitors from over 100 countries.

ADNEC recently began work on Phase 2 of the venue. Work is scheduled for completion in Autumn 2008; when complete the venue will be the largest exhibition centre in the Middle East with exhibition floor space of more than 55,000 square metres.
