Rosy Blue partners with Joy Alukkas to unveil Ovio collection

  • United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, July 10 - 2007 at 16:44
  • PRESS RELEASE

Rosy Blue, a global leader in the manufacturing, design and distribution of fine diamonds and jewellery, today joined forces with Joy Alukkas, the world's favourite jewelers, to launch the Ovio collection.

Made up of semi-precious stones set in gold and accented with diamonds, Ovio has three unique incarnations to appeal to Arab, Asian and Western tastes as determined by Rosy Blue's own research into Middle East market demands.

"Rosy Blue's market research in the UAE through our retail partners indicates the tastes and buying trends of specific nationalities and cultural groups - our sales demonstrate that Arab nationals tend to choose larger stones, Asian nationals often prefer pieces with a dangling element, and European buyers like a more minimalist style, so semi-precious jewellery collections have been created to meet each of these market needs," said Mr. Harshad Mehta, Chairman of Rosy Blue.

To capitalize on these trends, Rosy Blue has today unveiled the sparkling Ovio Collection of six stunning groups of pendants, rings, earrings, necklaces and matching sets with semi-precious stones and diamonds in 18 carat white, yellow and pink gold.

Fashionable, lightweight and innovative, the Ovio Collection from Rosy Blue incorporates a veritable candy-box of semi-precious gems including purple amethysts, lemon quartz and rose quartz, blue topaz, and yellow citrines.

"There is a very apparent demand in the UAE and wider Middle East market for semi-precious jewellery that incorporates the same quality elements of accent diamonds and gold settings as heavier, more costly investment-type pieces, and Ovio is addressing that consumer need," Mehta continued.

To retail the exclusive Ovio collection, Rosy Blue has partnered with Joy Alukkas, one of the premier players of gold and diamond jewellery in local and international markets. The Ovio collection's exclusive and innovative design mirrors Joy Alukkas vision of providing fashionable and quality jewellery at competitive prices.

"The exotic new Ovio collection from Rosy Blue offers a comprehensive blend of both classic and contemporary jewellery style. The designs look impressive and are in tune with the latest fashion trends and taste in the UAE market. We feel privileged to be associated with Rosy Blue and are confident that their designs will strike a resounding chord with the Joy Alukkas customers," said Mr Joy Alukkas, Chairman of the Joy Alukkas group.

Over the last two decades, Joy Alukkas has become a household name in the Middle East with jewellery stores in all markets including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain and Ras Al Khaimah in UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait.

The Joy Alukkas Jewellery group has a passion for providing dazzling jewellery designs using the finest precious metals and gemstones. Infact they are the first ever jeweller in the Middle East to receive the ISO 9001 and 14001 certification in the UAE.
