"First Gulf Bank is temporarily deferring the issuing of its Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) program pending more stable and favourable international market conditions. Abu Dhabi in general and FGB in particular now enjoy increased credibility in the global marketplace due to recent upgrades by international rating agencies.

As such, FGB is in a stronger position to await optimum market conditions for the benefit of the institution and its shareholders," said André Sayegh, CEO, First Gulf Bank.
