JOCABA's annual activity leaves room for better business

The Jordanian Canadian Business Association held its annual activity in Amman.

The Jordanian Canadian Business Association held its annual activity at the King Hussein Club in Jabal Amman's First Circle on 8 July on the occasion of Canada Day where top businessmen and dignitaries attended to increase cooperation and business relations between Jordan and Canada.

Many top Jordanian businessmen representing different economic sectors in Jordan attended the event which is annually held.

JOCABA, a business association set up in 2004, seeks to create the infrastructure for the growth of relations between businessmen in the private sector as positively reflecting on the public domain in both countries.

"This is a good occasion for the strengthening of relations between Jordan and Canada in the different business and cultural fields and I want to take this opportunity and call on our two private sectors to join associations such as ours to help chart our economic future," says JOCABA President Mazen Kawar.

This reception is just one of the activities made by JOCABA to induce networking between businessmen men and officials interest in creating projects for the mutual benefit of peoples in Jordan and across the Atlantic in Canada.

Despite the fact that it is still a new association JOCABA has worked in bringing people together to discuss and seek economic opportunities in different fields of which education has been the most prominent.

"Our association is growing, and thanks to new associations in Syria and Lebanon, Canada's relations with the countries of this region will benefit greatly," adds Mr Kawar.

Delegations from the two countries especially came for the event and the following day they held a full-day conference to discuss different ways of strengthening relations between the three associations in Syria, Lebanon and Jordan.
