Fairmont Dubai features Russia cuisine
- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, July 11 - 2007 at 15:42
- PRESS RELEASE
From 4 - 31 August, award winning Spectrum on One invites guests to cross the Baltic Sea to experience the epicurean creativity of authentic Russian cuisine.
In anticipation of the upcoming promotion, Richard Schestak, Regional Director, Food & Beverage, Middle East, states, "we continue to strive to showcase the hotel's culinary offerings, providing guests with endless gastronomic adventures," adding "considering the limited number of restaurants in Dubai offering Russian cuisine, our aim is to showcase a cuisine that has not been prominently featured in the region."
Influenced by the country's rich historical and cultural heritage, Russian cuisine is known for its use of fresh and refined ingredients highlighted by unique culinary techniques influenced by European countries. This summer, guests will be delighted to indulge in traditional Russian dishes from appetisers to desserts, prepared by the visiting chefs Kim Gates, Alexey Bykov, Ana Kaloshina and Natalya Alekshina. Highlights of the menu include Siberian pelmeni (meat dumplings) with sour cream, marinated red onions and scallions; veal stroganoff with crispy potatoes, chanterelle ragout and port wine sauce and Strawberry "Romanoff" blinis topped with vanilla bean ice cream.
A truly international culinary team, with over eleven nationalities represented in the Spectrum on One kitchen alone, this signature restaurant at The Fairmont Dubai pushes the culinary boundaries and has been recognized for hosting numerous promotions featuring the global flavours of Japan, Turkey, Korea and Bali.
Taste of Russia will be featured at Spectrum on One, located on the first floor of The Fairmont Dubai from August 4 - 31, 2007.
For pre-dinner libations, The Fairmont Dubai also invites guests for a 'Taste of Russia' at Bridges, the uniquely designed cocktail lounge and café. Enjoy the playful tunes emanating from the grand piano while sipping on Russian themed cocktails from the mobile bar trolley including Blusin' Russian and Ballet Russe.
