Paid parking machines to operate in areas around Saqir Bin Khalid Al Qassimi and Estiqlal Street

Sharjah Municipality's Freightage and Transportation Department announced that paid parking machines will begin operating in new areas starting from 14th July 2007.
The machines will operate throughout the week from 8 am to 1 pm, and from 5 pm to 10 pm, except Fridays.
Parking fees are set at 1 Dh for 1 hour, 3 Dhs for 3 hours, 5 Dhs for 3 hours and 12 Dhs for 5 hours.
Paid parking machines have been set up in the aforementioned areas, mostly commercial and industrial districts, in order to provide the public with better public services. The new services aim to provide easy-access parking and to ease traffic congestion caused by illegally parked cars.
The Freightage and Transportation Department recently set up paid parking machines in the areas of Al Shuwaihen, Al Shuiokh, Al Musalla, Al Naba'a, Bu Daniq, Umm Taraffa, Industrial Area 1, Al Muraija, Bu Shagharah, Al Nid, Al Yarmouk, Al Ghuwair and Al Majaz.
The Department will announce additional parking machines set to be installed in other areas of Sharjah. Sharjah Municipality is committed to providing the highest quality of service for the convenience and the safety of the public.
