Mall delays dog Hotbrands

Construction delays in the UAE's shopping mall projects are slowing growth for restaurant chains, according to Hotbrands International quoted in Gulf News. It plans to open 150 food outlets by the end of 2008 but only ten will be in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with most opening overseas. Sixteen restaurants are planned for Saudi Arabia in the next six months.
